ACC batteries equip the DS No. 7 Elysée, the President of the Republic’s new car
During the 14 July 2026 parade, the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, used a brand-new vehicle specially designed for the presidential office: the DS No. 7 Elysée. A symbol of French craftsmanship, the DS No. 7 Elysée is fitted with ACC batteries, designed and manufactured in France.
Having used a 100 per cent electric DS No. 8 convertible fitted with ACC batteries as a parade vehicle during the 8 May 2025 commemorations, the President travelled from the Élysée Palace to the Place de l’Étoile in a 100 per cent electric DS No. 7. The vehicle, which followed the President of the Republic in the motorcade during the military parade, is fully armoured, extended, fitted with a special illuminated grille and features a significantly modified interior, transforming it into a secure mobile office dedicated to the presidential role.
The DS No. 7 Elysée, the Head of State’s new work and transport solution, is fitted with ACC long-range batteries with a capacity of 97.2 kWh, produced at the ACC Gigafactory in Billy-Berclau Douvrin, in the Hauts-de-France region. Symbolising the excellence of French craftsmanship, the presidential vehicle incorporates state-of-the-art technology to serve the Presidency of the French Republic.
A major player in the European battery sector since 2020, ACC contributes to the excellence of the French and European automotive industry by currently equipping eight vehicles from the Stellantis group, and soon new Mercedes-Benz models.
ACC employs 2,500 people in France, including 1,500 at the Gigafactory in Billy-Berclau Douvrin.
